Who we are
We are a team of experienced tile contractors and journeymen, with 20 years of experience in the industry (and that’s NOT combined!).
VersaTile WNC started by Scott as a small, family run business in 2017. What started as two guys in one truck has grown into multiple crews, with apprentices rather than laborers (an important distinction!). Because we began as a tight knit family business, we actively foster family values in all of our work, no matter how much our team grows!
Meet our Crew
Scott has been in the flooring industry for 15+ years, and has specialized in tile for more than a decade. He completed an apprenticeship with a third generation tile setter, who taught him the ins and outs of the tile business—from the technical and artistic sides of doing quality tile work, to how to be a good man, father, and business owner. Scott continuously takes trainings, listens to podcasts, and networks in the tile industry to make sure VersaTileWNC’s practices are up to the best standards.
He acheived is Certified Tile Installer credential in 2025, becoming CTI #2021.
In his free time, he can be found working on and riding dirt bikes and spending time with family.
Ty joined VersaTileWNC in summer of 2021 after his brother had worked with us for a couple years. He brings a great attitude and the gumption to get the job done efficiently and clean.
Rose is our VersaTileWNC Mom, because every family needs a mom to keep them fed and organized!
She stays behind the scenes handling HR, payroll, taxes, estimating and invoicing, website and social media, and feeding everyone every chance she gets, to satisfy her inner grandma.
In her spare time she can be found soaking up the role of mom to little Ollie and Rubi, or teaching yoga at her studio in Mars Hill.
Oliver, more affectionately known as Little Ollie, was named after his dad Scott’s tile mentor, who is a third generation tile setter. Little Ollie has thinset (tile mortar) in his veins, that’s for sure!
He is our quality control inspector—he can sometimes be found at job sites chewing on tile (to make sure it’ll hold up!), thoroughly getting into things we wish he wouldn’t, and having a blast while doing it! He only makes appearances with his mama (and usually lunch) in tow, so don’t worry.
With this guy running around getting into things at home, our team is all too familiar with making sure job sites are left safe for your little tikes—kids and fur babies included!
Last but not least, Rubi Holbrook is the littlest member of our tile fam! Here she is working the Montolit score cutter and bringing her sunshine spirit to the job site.
